“Truly a standard in Pils production. The perfect balance between playful southern German sweetness and a clear bitter northern German taste.” - Oliver Wesseloh (World champion beer sommelier)
Appearance: Very fine, long-lasting, bright white head. Nice, clear light gold.
Aroma: The nose registers a fresh Alpine meadow. Very fresh, invigorating aroma. Quite subtle in the background: gentle notes of grains and yeast.
Flavour: Starts with a quite lean body that becomes almost creamy thanks to its good effervescence. Very light notes of malt and caramel come through that maintain a balance with the noticeable, but never overwhelming bitterness. The taste gets thinner and fresher toward the end. The freshly mowed meadow comes through again and a slight bitterness pops up to say: I’m still here, too. A subtle bitter aftertaste, but never overwhelming or scratchy.
Special aspect: The fine-tuned compilation of aromatic hops and local malt from spring barley lend the Pilsner its uniquely zesty and fresh flavour.
