Description

Maisel & Friends IPA is a bold and exceptional India Pale Ale, representing the pinnacle of American-style West Coast IPAs, crafted in Germany by the pioneering Maisel’s Brewery.

This IPA is masterfully cold-hopped with top-fermented ale yeast and open-fermented using Ahtanum and Cascade hops, along with select additional hops, before undergoing a meticulous cold-maturation process. The result is an exhilarating, golden copper-coloured, and naturally unfiltered IPA.

Maisel & Friends IPA boasts sparkling and fruity flavours, with a crisp bitterness and robust character, owing to Maisel’s premium selection of barley and special malts.

This delightful session IPA captivates the senses with tangy grapefruit and citrus aromas, intertwined with intense hop aromas. Its flavour profile features vibrant notes of grapefruit, complemented by sweet malts and the piney-tropical bitterness typical of an IPA, culminating in a pleasantly bitter and dry finish.

Located in the Upper Franconian city of Bayreuth, Maisel’s has been a proud family-run brewery since its founding in 1887 by brothers Hans and Eberhardt Maisel. Today, it thrives under the leadership of their fourth-generation descendant, Jeff Maisel.

Maisel & Friends IPA secured the title of Country Winner at the 2020 World Beer Awards and won Gold at the World Beer Awards 2023. It also won 90 points at the Finest Beer Selection 2023.
