Introducing Rothaus

Founded in Baden-Württemberg in 1791, Rothaus has crafted exceptional beers for over two centuries. World famous for its iconic Pilsner, the Rothaus Brewery is the pride of its region. Rothaus combines natural ingredients, traditional brewing methods, and state-of-the-art craftsmanship to create delicious beers that embody the spirit of the Black Forest.

Introducing Maisel

Founded in 1887 by brothers Eberhardt and Hans Maisel in Bayreuth, Germany, Maisel is a family-owned brewery renowned for its authentic Bavarian wheat beer. In 1955, they launched the hugely popular Maisel's Weisse, their signature beer. Today, Maisel is Germany’s fourth-largest wheat beer producer, blending tradition with exceptional craftsmanship to delicious effect.

Why is the Maisel Brewery special?

Maisel's dedication to quality ingredients, innovation, and traditional brewing methods has earned them numerous accolades, notably being named ‘National Brewery of the Year’ in both 2023 and 2024 by the Finest Beer Selection. Their alcohol-free wheat beer, Maisel's Weisse Alkoholfrei, has consistently excelled at the European Beer Star awards, securing gold medals multiple times.

In 2012, Jeff Maisel, fourth-generation owner of the prestigious Maisel Brewery, launched Maisel & Friends with the help of some of his closest friends - positioning them as trailblazers in Germany's luxury and craft beer scene. At the heart of Maisel & Friends’ success is a commitment to the finest ingredients, expert craftsmanship, a willingness to innovate, and a shared passion for beer.

Introducing Bayreuther

The Bayreuth Brewery, established in 1857 in Bayreuth, Germany, has a rich brewing history. It is renowned for its traditional methods and distinct lager beers. Acquired by the Maisel family in 1965 (with many shares also personally owned by regional enthusiasts), the brewery has maintained its reputation for quality and heritage while adapting to modern brewing techniques.

The Bayreuth Brewery crafts its beers according to the Bavarian Purity Law, following recipes passed down for generations. Using only water, malt, hops, and yeast, their brewers create authentic Bavarian specialities like Bayreuther HELL, the classic Helles. Every brew reflects their passion for honest, additive-free beer that embodies the Bavarian way of life.
