The benchmark in alcohol-free beers

Description

A surprisingly realistic-tasting alcohol-free German beer.

Rothaus removes the alcohol from their most famous German beer through a special steam under vacuum process - carefully extracting the alcohol whilst enabling the distinctive beer aromas to remain intact.

Alcohol-free Rothaus Pils (Rothaus Tannenzäpfle Alkoholfrei) is brewed with the purest, softest spring water from sources in the Black Forest, summer barley malt grown near Lake Constance and aromatic hops from Tettnang and Hallertau.

Considered by many to be the best alcohol-free beer available.

*Red plastic Rothaus crate not included. Bottles shipped in protective and recyclable cardboard packaging.

Tasting Notes

“Just like the non-alcoholic Hefeweizen; you'd never know this was a non-alcoholic beer - outstanding!” - Oliver Wesseloh (World champion beer sommelier)

Appearance: Pure-white, fine-pored head, clear bright gold colour.

Aroma: Freshly mowed wild meadow and a hint of freshly baked bread in the background. The bread becomes more intense after smelling multiple times, and acquires a thin spread of honey on top.

Flavour: The flavour delivers what the aroma promises: freshly cut hay bales in a wild meadow. The bitterness comes through first, very pleasant and subtle, followed by caramel/honey. At the very end, the bitterness pushes through a bit more. Pleasant, thin body, but not hollow.

Special aspect: Thanks to a particularly gentle dealcoholisation process with aroma recovery, the non-alcoholic Tannenzäpe retains its full flavour. Enjoy the unadulterated, tartness of this non-alcoholic Pilsner beer.
